Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire in a hazelnut orchard in the Oregon City area.
Crews responded to the 19500 block of Redland Road on Friday afternoon.
Firefighters said conditions were extremely hot and dry and the wind made conditions even more difficult.
One building was threatened, but firefighters stopped the fire from reaching it.
The fire was brought under control in about an hour.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.

Estacada Rural Fire District No. 69 and the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office assisted Clackamas Fire District #1 at the scene.
Traffic was slowed in the area due to poor visibility from the smoke.
