PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Thousands of people around the Portland metro are starting the week without power.

Portland General Electric is reporting that more than 4,400 customers are without power Monday morning.

The majority of the outages are being reported in Multnomah County, and officials with PGE confirmed to FOX 12 that the outages were related to the strong morning winds affecting two downed feeder lines.

Areas in northwest Portland and Gresham are seeing the greatest impact, PGE noted that crews were heading out to restore service.

Officials also remind the public to stay away from any downed lines and ask them to please report them to PGE by calling 1-800-544-1795.
