NEAR WOODBURN, OR (KPTV) -

A large band saw fell off a truck and on to southbound Interstate 5 Tuesday night, leading ten vehicles to hit it two miles north of Woodburn.

Now, Oregon State Police is asking the public to help find the driver of the truck, who fled the scene.

OSP said the saw fell off a trailer being pulled by a pick-up truck at 9:30 p.m.

Troopers said witnesses reported the driver first tried to get the saw out of middle of the interstate, but then left the scene. Cars then started hitting the saw.

One car flipped over several times.

The driver of the car that flipped was hurt and taken to a hospital, but their condition isn’t currently known.

OSP said most of the cars only received minor damage.

Troopers said the pick-up is possibly a Ford F250, and its driver was a man.

Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call OSP at 1(800) 452-7888.
