Deputies: Man arrested for DUII after deadly crash near Keizer

MARION COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Marion County Deputies arrested a man in connection with a crash that killed an 18-year-old woman north of Keizer.

The crash happened just before 4:20 Saturday morning on Windsor Island Road North, south of Quebeck Street.

According to deputies, 21-year-old Justin Coakley was driving north, when he lost control of his truck, causing it to roll over.

Coakley and one of his two passengers were taken to the hospital.

The other passenger, 18-year-old Karlie Thometz died in the crash according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested Coakley after he was released from the hospital. He faces several charges including DUII.
