Pedestrian killed in NE Portland crash identified

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The woman who was killed Wednesday morning after she was struck by a car in northeast Portland has been named by police. 

On Thursday morning, police identified the victim as Elizabeth B. Meyers of Portland.

Meyers, 60, was pronounced dead at the scene in the 7800 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard after she was hit by a Toyota Camry.

The driver of the Camry remained at the crash site and cooperated with investigators.

Police said it is not believed the driver was distracted or impaired during the crash.

Police did not provide more details on what led to the crash. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Meyers’ death is the 50th traffic death investigated by the Portland Police Bureau's traffic division this year.
