Deputies searching for suspects, International School of Beaverton temporarily put on lockout

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Deputies are still searching for two men after another man was injured in a stabbing outside the Aloha Station Tavern Thursday morning.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office tweeted the stabbing occurred during a robbery outside the tavern, located at 3765 Southwest 185th Avenue in Aloha.

The stabbing victim told deputies he had been stabbed in the back and his knife and cell phone were stolen. He was transported for surgery and his condition is not known.

A K-9 search for a suspect was launched just after 7:15 a.m. and lasted about an hour.

The International School of Beaverton was put on lockout during the search, but the lockout was lifted just before 8:30 a.m.

Deputies told FOX 12 that the victim and suspects are homeless and the identities of the suspects are known. They also noted that the victim in this case knew the alleged attackers.

The Aloha Station Tavern was open when this incident occurred. Sheila Jones told FOX 12 she was inside tending bar when she and customers heard screaming. She said a customer ran out to check on the victim then immediately called 911.

“He went over to check on the guy, and the guy said something about being stabbed and the customer lifted up his shirt and saw the blood everywhere,” Jones said. “I guess some of the other customers saw the guys that did the stabbing throw something in our dumpster.”

Area residents told FOX 12 they were surprised by the morning’s violence, with neighbor Dale Magsayo saying was unusual for the neighborhood.

“I see homeless people around the area, but I don’t know where they are staying,” he explained. “I don’t remember having any problems down this street, everything is pretty mellow in this area.”

Deputies are asking anyone with information on this incident to please call the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
