Two injured after ATV goes off road, down embankment in Yamhill Co.

YAMHILL COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Two people were injured after a quad recreational vehicle (ATV) went off the road and down an embankment in Yamhill County. 

The crash occurred Thursday evening in the 17600 block of Northeast Baker Trail Lane, near Northeast North Valley Road, according to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue. 

Fire officials said there were two passengers on the ATV, a man in his 20s and a woman, who were both conscious and alert.

Due to the nature of the fall, crews are conducting a rope rescue. 

The man was expected to be transported to the hospital. The extent of his injuries and condition are unknown. The woman, who had minor injuries, was treated at the scene.
