SCAPPOOSE, Ore. -- A crash involving a large delivery truck and a Jeep shut down lanes of Highway 30 on Tuesday morning near Scappoose.State police said a Portland man turned from Old Lower Rocky Point Road into the path of an oncoming Freightliner box truck at about 6:20 a.m. Christopher Mohr, the driver of the truck, steered to the left to avoid the car but was unable to avoid a collision near the center median, police said.After impact, the truck flipped onto its side and slid across the eastbound lanes until it came to a stop on the shoulder, said Sgt. Larry Lucas of Oregon State Police.Troopers closed the highway's eastbound lanes near Rocky Point Scales at about mile 18 west of Portland.Scappoose firefighters used heavy extrication tools to remove 24-year-old Andrew Gordon, who was trapped in the car. An ambulance rushed him to a Portland-area hospital to be treated for minor injuries.Mohr was not injured.Slideshow: Wreck Closes Lanes Of Highway 30
