FOX 12, the Oregon Food Bank and Mount Hood Beverage teamed up to help flood victims in Oregon this week.

The FOX 12 Cares Food Drive collected nearly 10,000 pounds of food and more than $11,500 in cash for the Oregon Food Bank.

"The 10 O'clock News," "The 11 O'clock News," and "Good Day Oregon" broadcast live from the Lake Grove Safeway during the food drive Thursday and Friday.

Les Schwab Tires made a $5,000 cash donation and Shilo Inns donated 20,000 bottles of water.

If you weren't able to make it to the Lake Grove Safeway, you can donate funds to the Oregon Food Bank online. Just visit the Oregon Food Bank Web site.

You can also donate food to the Oregon Food Bank by visiting their office at 7900 N.E. 33rd Drive in Portland.

The Food Bank's most needed items are bottled water and food that doesn't need to be cooked.

In the long term, the Food Bank's most needed items are canned meats, canned and boxed meals, peanut butter, canned or dried beans and peas, pasta, rice, cereal, canned fruits and 100 percent fruit juice.
