Teachers, are you looking for a speaker to come to your class and talk about the weather or working at a television station?FOX 12 would like to bring our "FIRST. LIVE. LOCAL." weather team to your school. FOX 12 welcomes the opportunity to interact with the community, especially with students in northwest Oregon and southwest Washington.Bringing FOX 12 to your classroom presents your students with an opportunity to learn about TV weather forecasting, fun weather facts, as well as other specific weather elements from meteorologists who live weather daily. Plus your students get a close-up look "behind the scenes" at FOX 12.Here are a few things to keep in mind:We'll need a DVD player, TV and projector for a Powerpoint presentation. Presentation lasts 30 minutes to 1 hour. We will only visit each school once per school year. Works best with no more than 100 students. Currently the coast is under a High Wind Watch. Gusty winds could also reach the metro area, with gusts up to 40-50 mph late tonight. Sunday, the wind and rain will taper off midday.
