Phoenix, AZ -- (Sports Network) - Cappie Pondexter poured in 22 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out eight assists as the Phoenix Mercury used a strong third quarter to down the Seattle Storm, 93-81.

Diana Taurasi added 22 points and four rebounds for the Mercury, who outscored the Storm, 25-11, in the third frame. Tangela Smith ended with 16 points and seven boards for Phoenix, which has alternated wins and losses in its last four games. Lecoe Willingham finished with 15 points.

Swin Cash paced Seattle with 17 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Lauren Jackson also tallied 17 points and grabbed six boards for the Storm, who have dropped two in a row after a three-game winning streak. Sue Bird scored 15 points, while Tanisha Wright and Camille Little added 12 points apiece in defeat.

The Mercury went 12-for-24 from beyond the arc, while Seattle hit just 3-of-10 shots from three-point land.
