Lake Oswego police searching for porch pirates, car prowlers

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. (KPTV) - Lake Oswego Police are searching for at least five suspects that were all caught on camera either stealing packages off of porches or rummaging through cars. Patrick Donnelly is one of the victims whose car was rummaged through.

“It’s unfortunate that it happened and it’s our fault for not locking our doors so please lock your doors if you are watching this, otherwise yeah you feel a little violated, it’s a great neighborhood and we love it here in Lake Oswego,” Donnelly said. “When I woke up, was getting the kids ready for school, checked the car and noticed that masks were everywhere so I checked the Ring camera and at 4:02 a.m. a bunch of people went down this whole street and checked all the handles on all the car doors.”

In the videos from the victims the suspects are seen driving through the neighborhood and stopping in front of a house, while one of the suspects approaches the front door and collects the packages before quickly returning to the vehicle. In another video, the suspects arrive in a vehicle and one of the suspects gets out, tries the car door handles for the vehicles in the driveway and rummages through the vehicle that was unlocked. The photos show two or maybe three different vehicles.
