70-year-old man killed in Old Town shooting identified by Portland police

PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - The Portland Police Bureau has identified a 70-year-old man who was shot and killed in Old Town last Friday night.
Just before 9:30 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 26, officers responded to Northwest 6th Avenue and Northwest Flanders Street. Officers arrived to the scene and found a man who was shot. The victim, identified as Clarence Edward Smith, was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
The medical examiner determined Smith’s manner of death was a homicide.
Police did not say if they have made any arrests or if there is any suspect information.
