19-year-old from Texas shot, killed outside Portland apartments

A 19-year-old man was shot and killed outside a southeast Portland apartment building early Saturday, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A 19-year-old man was shot and killed outside a southeast Portland apartment building early Saturday, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

Just before 1 a.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Southeast Aspen Summit Drive after reports of a shooting. They found a man dead in the common area of an apartment complex.

On Sunday, he was identified as Niyjiel Troishon Brown from Texas, and the medical examiner confirmed that he died from gunfire.

Police said they will not be releasing suspect information at this time.
