MULTNOMAH COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) - A man was arrested Thursday and charged with shooting and killing a man in Fairview earlier this week, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

Shortly after 6 p.m., 31-year-old Deming Oakleaf of Portland was arrested for the death of 38-year-old Roman Shulishov of Fairview.

An Oregon State Police trooper shot and killed a man at the Salem-Willamette Valley Airport Thursday morning.

Shulishov was reported missing by his wife on the night of Saturday, Feb. 22, after he left their home and did not return. His body was found on Sunday afternoon near the couple’s home on Northeast 211th Avenue.

Detectives determined that Shulishov had been shot, and a medical examiner ruled the death a homicide.

Oakleaf was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon.

Deputies said they would not be releasing any further information about the investigation at this time.
