3 men charged with planning to meet children for sex after Milwaukie sting
MILWAUKIE Ore. (KPTV) - Three men were indicted by a Clackamas County grand jury for allegedly arranging to meet and have sex with who they believed were teenage children last week, according to the Milwaukie Police Department.
On Oct. 29, Milwaukie police led an interagency operation to catch online predators, with officers posing as 14- and 15-year-old children, as well as younger children, online.
Police said three men set up a time and place to meet and engage in “sexual acts” with the people they believed were children, and two of the three allegedly arrived at the meeting place and were arrested.
The two men were identified as 62-year-old Kelly Macomb of Portland and 48-year-old Jose Martinez Mendoza, also of Portland.

A third man had allegedly agreed to meet for sex but did not appear at the arranged meeting. However, officers said they learned he was “employed in the direct contact of children.”
The third man, identified as 59-year-old Kurt Olsen of McMinnville, was subsequently arrested at his home.

All three were lodged at the Clackamas County Jail. Macomb and Mendoza were each charged with first- and second-degree online corruption of a child and luring a minor.
Olsen was charged with second-degree online corruption of a child and luring a minor.
This week, a grand jury delivered a true bill for the charges.
Investigators believe the suspects may have had other victims and asked anyone with information to contact the Milwaukie Police at tips@milwaukieoregon.gov.
