(Meredith) - If you want to get paid to binge-watch scary movies, here's your chance.
USDish.com, an authorized reseller of DISH Network, said it will pay someone $1,300 to watch 13 classic Stephen King films this Halloween season.
Those interested in the challenge must submit an application by Oct. 15, explaining why they want the job. The company will then select one lucky winner, who will watch the following Stephen King films by Oct. 31:
- Carrie (original or 2013 remake)
- Children of the Corn
- It (original or 2017 remake)
- The Mist
- Pet Sematary (original or 2019 remake)
- Salem's Lot
- The Shining
The winner must be detail-oriented enough to track their experience while watching the films.
"You will track your heart rate and jump scares. You’ll let us know who joined in on the scares with you. You’ll let us know what you thought before watching certain movies, and if your feelings changed after you completed them," the company said in a statement. "You’ll even log your sleep—if you can sleep. We want to know all this and more!"
USDish.com will give the winner a "survival kit," which will include a flashlight, blanket, popcorn, and candy. The winner will also receive some Stephen King paraphernalia, a movie theater gift card, and a Fitbit to help track their heart rate.
Applicants must be 18 or older and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. For more information about the application process, visit https://www.usdish.com.
