PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – A celebration of Oregon beer that gives beer lovers the opportunity to see behind the scenes at breweries is back for its 11th year this month.
Zwickelmania, named after the zwickel (the screw valve that mounts on the outside of fermentation or conditioning tanks), is happening two Saturdays: Feb. 16 in the Portland metro area and Feb. 23 across Oregon.
A total of 120 breweries are participating and 30,000 visitors are expected to attend.
A special feature for this year is a Zwickelmania collaboration beer, which has been brewed by 37 breweries. It’s called the Collab West Coast IPA and is only available for purchase at participating breweries. It goes on sale during the event and proceeds will benefit the Oregon Brewers Guild.
