Man attempts to fix flat tires with gauze and band-aids

(Meredith) - California deputies responding to a call about a suspicious person found a man attempting to fix two flat tires with first aid supplies.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department said deputies found the 26-year-old working on his SUV Tuesday morning in Mission Viejo. He was apparently trying to patch up the tires using gauze and band-aids.

Deputies arrested the man for being under the influence of drugs. His name has not been released.

The sheriff's department later posted photos of the man's "repair job" on Facebook, and thanked the citizen who alerted deputies.

"This is another great example of the teamwork between our alert community and your deputies," the post reads."Keep calling in suspicious activity to keep our city safe!"
