A 20-year-old man was arrested Thursday and is facing federal charges connected to the fentanyl overdose death of a Portland teenager, according to Portland police and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Oregon.
The union representing more than 1,700 hospital service and tech workers at PeaceHealth locations in southwest Washington and Oregon announced Thursday that they have reached a tentative agreement with PeaceHealth management.
At it’s Tuesday meeting, the Portland Public Schools board all voted yes to ratify a contract with PAT, ending the teachers strike. It comes just hours after the Portland Association of Teachers announced over 90% of it’s members voted to ratify the contract.
Talk-A-Mile, a non- profit organization, is teaming up with Portland Police Bureau to connect with students of color in the community. The goal is to create empathy and understanding with one another and create a safer environment.
