The car belonging to a missing 18-year-old from Marion County was found near a wilderness area in Lane County.

Trevor Mitchell, a high school student from Sublimity, was reported missing to the Marion County Sheriff's Office on Sunday night.

He was last seen by his family around noon that day.

On Tuesday, Mitchell's car was found at the Separation Lake trailhead near the Three Sisters Wilderness Area.

Lane County search and rescue crews canvassed the area that evening and returned Wednesday with additional resources, including K-9 teams and the Lane County Sheriff's Office Mounted Posse.

Search efforts continued Thursday in the area of Separation Lake and the surrounding wilderness.

There has been no new evidence located to indicate Mitchell's whereabouts.

He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and 135 pounds with sandy blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a navy polo shirt, blue jeans and black Vans shoes.

Anyone who has seen Mitchell since Sunday is asked to call the Lane County Sheriff's Office at 541-682-4141.
