PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) - Part of a downtown Portland road is blocked after a sinkhole was discovered over the weekend.

The water bureau said crews first came out to the area of Southwest Salmon and Southwest 6th on Friday on the report of a fire line leak at Fogo de Chão.

As crews were working to excavate the concrete, they discovered a sinkhole caused by a damaged sewer pipe.

The water bureau said crews repaired the pipe and filled in the sinkhole. The water line was repaired as well.

On Monday morning, crews were still finishing road repairs. Drivers should expect delays in the area.
