Crews respond to landslide on West Burnside; tree, power poles down

Emergency crews responded to a landslide near Northwest 24th and Burnside Street on Friday evening.

Firefighters said no houses or vehicles were in danger and there were no reports of injuries.

A large tree took down three power poles and left power lines on the road at the scene, according to Portland Fire & Rescue.

West Burnside was initially closed between Northwest 24th Avenue and Maywood Drive, but the closure was later extended from Northwest 23rd to Skyline Boulevard as tree branches continued to fall in the area.
