Crews respond to large commercial fire in Washougal

 

Crews responded to the scene of a large commercial fire at a drainage company in Washougal Friday evening.

The first started in the Washougal Industrial Park in the 600 block of South 37th Street just around 7:55 p.m.

Officials with the Camas-Washougal Fire Department said crews arriving at the scene at Advanced Drainage Systems found the large fire burning through a storage yard of plastic drain and irrigation pipe.

Crews from Vancouver Fire and East County Fire and Rescue also responded to the blaze, and the fire was extinguished by 9 p.m.

Investigators said the cause of the fire is still unknown at this time and there is no damage estimate as of yet. There were no injuries reported in the response.

Officials said a full investigation with be conducted by the Camas-Washougal Fire Department Fire Marshal's Office.
