Deputies: Chase in Washington Co. leads to 2 arrests

 

Washington County Deputies said officers chased a man through Hillsboro Friday night.

Deputies said they tried to stop a man who had a felony warrant out for his arrest.

After they caught the man, Hillsboro Police brought K-9 Ace to search the suspect's car, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Washington County Deputies said officers found a safe that contained drugs, a scale, and ammunition.

A bike team also searched the area and found a loaded handgun the man threw out of his car during the chase, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Two people were arrested, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said K-9 teams train more than 1,600 hours a year to prepare for these situations.
