One day after a murder suspect’s mother was arrested on the charge of rendering criminal assistance, his fiancee was arrested on the same charge.
Emma L. Brown, 20, of Glenoma, Washington, turned herself in on an outstanding arrest warrant Wednesday night.
Brown is engaged to 21-year-old Jonathan R. Adamson, according to deputies.
Adamson and his 16-year-old brother Benito S. Marquez were arrested late last month and now face charges of murder and rape in connection with the death of 16-year-old Ben Eastman III of Randle, Washington.
Court documents state Eastman’s body was found in a shallow grave in a wooded area off Cispus Road on June 28.
Court documents state Marquez and Adamson lured Eastman into the woods for a camping trip, where they viciously assaulted him, killed him, buried his body and burned his clothes. Eastman died of blunt force trauma.
Detectives described Eastman and Marquez as friends.
Their mother, 43-year-old Kindra Rose Adamson of Randle, was arrested Tuesday on the charge of rendering criminal assistance.
Deputies said the arrests of Brown and Kindra Adamson were based on their “actions and knowledge of the crime after the homicide, but prior to the arrest of the two suspects.”
