Portland Fire & Rescue responded to a two-alarm commercial fire in Northwest Portland Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called out to the fire at 11:32 a.m. in the 3300 block of Northwest Yeon.
PF&R said when crews arrived they found smoke coming from a roll up door of a large commercial building.
A second alarm was called due to the size of the building and the location of the nearest water supply.
Highway 30 was closed from Northwest 29th and Northwest Kittridge while crews worked to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters cut holes in the roof of the building to allow smoke to vent to improve visibility. Crews were able to locate the fire and extinguish it.
No injuries were reported.
A fire investigator said the cause of the fire was mechanical in nature.
