In southeast Portland, there’s a place that combines two things the city is known for: biking and coffee. And the organization behind the business also supports local youth.
Braking Cycles recently opened a new location at 3354 Southeast Powell Boulevard.
Customers can get their bikes fixed while getting a coffee fix at the same time.
Braking Cycles, a nonprofit under the umbrella of Transitional Youth, supports young people facing homelessness.
All the profit made from Braking Cycle’s services goes to job skills training for the youth in the program.
