At the Albany Art Studio, there’s a space where people can play with paint in a way unlike anywhere else in Oregon.
The studio is home to the state’s first “Splatter Box,” where art anarchy is fair game.
In the box, artists are given non-toxic paint to splash anywhere they desire, including on people.
Interested guests can book a time at the studio and their reservations will include a canvas and two bottles of paint each. On hand for use are squirt bottles and squirt guns.
Participants who want to unleash their creativity should dress appropriately – while the paint isn’t toxic, it can stain clothing.
