GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) - Gresham police are investigating after a man broke into a food cart pod early Friday morning.

According to police, an unidentified man broke into the three food carts at 58 Northeast Burnside Road in the early morning hours of Nov. 13 and stole small items such as cash, change and electronics.

Some damage was reported to a couple of doors due to forced entry by the suspect.

FOX 12 spoke with Loni Peck who works at Salad Heroes.

"I came in to work at 10:30, walked up and noticed the door handle ajar, and I was thinking 'I’m pretty sure I locked that last night,'" Peck said. "So when I pulled the door handle open, I walked in really slowly, the door just popped open for me, and it didn’t look like anything was touched until I looked down where the cash box was kept and I noticed that was gone."

Police said the suspect has not yet been arrested or identified. A description of the suspect has not been released.

The owner of Salad Heroes says the suspect was caught on camera.

Anyone with information about the break-ins should contact Gresham police at 503-823-3333.

Worst PDX Mayor Ever

If you own a food cart, why in the heII would you leave ANY valuables there when you close up each day/night? Why would you leave cash or electronics? You gotta know those things are sitting ducks for night crawlers.
