TIGARD, Ore. (KPTV) – The Tigard Police Department said two people were robbed as they were walking home from dinner Tuesday night.

TPD said just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a robbery near Southwest Johnston Street and Southwest Grant Avenue. A man and woman said they were walking home from dinner along the Fanno Creek Trail when two men got out of a truck and started walking toward them. The men demanded the couple drop everything.

The woman said one of the men ripped her purse off her and took her cell phone and keys. The victims were not hurt. The men got back in the truck and drove off.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic man, between 40 and 45 years old, around five feet tall, with a stocky build, thick black hair and thicker lips. He was wearing a red T-shirt, jeans and sneakers.

The second man’s race is unknown and he's described as short and stocky.

The truck is described as a navy Ford F-150 or F-250, model year 2010-2012, with tinted windows and possibly a canopy.

What does cosmetic surgery have to do with this?

Everybody knows you don't go near Fanno Creek Trail even in broad daylight.

Liberal Wasteland

No kidding. That's homeless territory, and it doesn't matter that it's not far from the cop shop. Too bad they weren't armed or there might have been two fewer criminals in the world.

I don't go anywhere without my purse...or my Ruger.
