PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – Police are investigating after responding to a shooting and finding a body in north Portland Monday night.

At about 9:26 p.m., police responded to multiple calls regarding a shooting near North Albina Avenue and North Webster Street in the Humboldt neighborhood.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a person that appeared to have been shot. The person was pronounced dead.

Officers closed the area to investigate and attempted to find witnesses. 

The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Calvin Jerome Jackson III of Portland. The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy and determined Jackson died from gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.
