Many in Portland are not looking forward to the triple-digit temperatures coming up this week, especially cooks cramped inside of some of the city’s favorite food carts.
Working in a food cart could be one of the more miserable places to spend this upcoming heat wave, with workers hovering over grills and other equipment that will make it even hotter.
Few of the carts have air conditioning, meaning that they will be depending on extra fans and lots of water to make it through the sweltering weather.
The workers told FOX 12 that despite the weather, though, they plan to stay open, bringing in customers that are looking for something tasty during the heat wave.
