Three men are in jail after Portland police say they set off a burglary alarm at a dispensary early Thursday morning and were tracked down with the assistance of a K-9 unit.

Officers from the Central Precinct responded to the alarm call at the Allied Patient Care Dispensary at 729 Southeast Powell Boulevard at 4:16 a.m., arriving to see three suspects running from the scene.

Police apprehended one of the men quickly, but the other two were able to hide in the surrounding neighborhood until a K-9 unit from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist.

The remaining two suspects were quickly located and taken into custody without incident.

While investigating the scene, officers found a van with the engine running across the street from the dispensary and discovered a rifle and marijuana plants inside. The vehicle and items inside were seized as evidence.

Seth Laban Williams, 26, Winston Oscar Mcleod and Joshua Nathan Nice, both 23, were booked into the Multnomah County Jail and face charges of second-degree burglary.

Nice, who had an outstanding parole violation warrant, also faces a second-degree conspiracy to commit burglary. Mcleod also had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and faces a second count of second-degree burglary.

The Portland Police Bureau is asking that anyone with information on this burglary contact Detective Matt Estes at 503-823-0462 or by email at matthew.estes@portlandoregon.gov.
