A Sherwood man was indicted on charges of DUII and manslaughter for a crash on Highway 20 in Deschutes County that killed a 2-year-old girl.
A grand jury returned the indictment last week against 46-year-old David William Fincher.
Investigators said Fincher was driving a 2000 Toyota Tacoma east on Highway 20 near Tumalo the morning of Sept. 11 when he crossed the centerline and struck two westbound vehicles.
A 37-year-old Bend woman was driving a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta that was hit by the pickup. A 2-year-old girl in her car died at the scene.
Five other people involved in the crash were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police said Fincher was driving under the influence of intoxicants, citing alcohol as a factor in the crash.
He was arraigned in court Monday on charges of first-degree manslaughter, DUII and five counts of third-degree assault.
Fincher remained in the Deschutes County Jail on Monday with bail set at $500,000. He is due back in court Oct. 10.
