Portlanders could possibly be in for another snow event over the next few days.
According to FOX 12 Chief Meteorologist Mark Nelsen, snow could arrive in the Portland metro sometime Wednesday afternoon.
Weather models consistently change, which can make it difficult to forecast a weather event like this one, according to Nelsen. Some models show little or no precipitation over the city, and some show several inches of snow.
As Wednesday approaches, weather models are expected to become clearer.
As of Tuesday morning, meteorologists predict heavy snowfalls in Central and Southern Oregon. After a dry morning, snow showers are expected to arrive Wednesday afternoon and into Thursday morning over the metro area. Temperatures are expected to reach 33 degrees.
Several areas around Portland are still feeling the after-effects of the large snow and ice storm that hit Thursday afternoon. Several schools were delayed Monday morning due to lingering icy conditions.
A few school districts near the coast are running late Tuesday. See full delay and closure list here.
