A thief stole keys and wallets from the break room of a consignment clothing store in Vancouver and got away in an employee’s car.
The theft happened at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Spanky’s Consignment on the 13500 block of Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard.
Employees reviewed surveillance video and believe a well-dressed man in a blue shirt is the culprit, however Vancouver police have not yet confirmed that man is a suspect in this case.
Spanky’s employees told FOX 12 the man slowly made his way around the store before disappearing from view.
Tammy McBride said it wasn’t until the end of her shift that she realized her keys and wallet were gone, along with her red Fiat that was parked outside the store.
“And just this sinking feeling that he took my keys, my house key. So I had to re-key my house last night,” she said. “It’s just so violating. What’s he doing to my car? It’s scary.”
McBride said two other employees had their wallets stolen from the break room, as well.
She canceled her credit cards and learned the thief tried to use them minutes later.
Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact Vancouver police.
