The two people who died last Friday in a head-on crash on Highway 26 near Government Camp have been identified by troopers.
Oregon State Police said on June 29 at 4 a.m., a passenger car driving east on Highway 26 at Kiwanis Camp Road in Rhododendron crossed into the westbound lanes for unknown reasons and hit a westbound semi hauling wood chips. The semi then went off the road and caught fire.
Both drivers, the only occupants of the two vehicles, were killed in the crash.
On Friday, OSP identified the driver of the passenger car as 28-year-old Ryan Reyna, from Sandy. The driver of the semi has been identified as 49-year-old Brian Sheridan, from Terrebonne.
Highway 26 was closed for almost nine hours while ODOT workers cleared the scene.
