Two officers injured in hit-and-run crash in SE Portland

Two Portland police officers were taken to the hospital early Monday as a precaution after they were involved in a hit-and-run crash in southeast Portland.

The Portland Police Bureau said the incident happened at Southeast 72nd Avenue and Flavel Street around 4:17 a.m.

Officers said a woman ran a red light heading south on 72nd Avenue and struck a police cruiser headed east on Flavel Street.

The officers were responding to another call at a 7-Eleven on 82nd Avenue when their car was hit.

One officer was taken to the hospital via ambulance while the other was transported by another police officer. Both were treated and released.

Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. Fuller-Hudson was cited with reckless driving and hit-and-run and then released.
