Police are investigating the death of a 29-year-old woman who was stabbed at a strip club in northeast Portland on Wednesday night.
Portland police responded to reports of a stabbing at Club Skinn on Northeast 60th Avenue around 11:36 p.m.
Officers said they arrived to find a woman suffering from traumatic injuries.
Medical crews attempted to save her, but the woman died at the scene shortly after they arrived. She was identified Thursday afternoon as Shantina Turner.
Police arrested 23-year-old Rinita Linelle Lowe almost immediately after the stabbing. Authorities said she was chased out of the club by security and ran into a 7-Eleven across the street.
Two officers were inside the 7-Eleven getting coffee when Lowe ran inside. She was arrested without further incident.
According to detectives, Lowe and the victim knew each other and engaged in some sort of argument before the stabbing.
Lowe was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of murder and unlawful use of a weapon. She is scheduled to be arraigned in court Friday.
This is not the first death investigation that has been associated with Club Skinn. In 2013, a 33-year-old man was shot and killed outside the strip club.
