Plywood Car

A Florida woman is lucky to be alive after a sheet of plywood smashed through her windshield on the highway.

The driver, 35-year-old Rebecca Burgman, sustained only minor injuries and refused medical treatment following the incident on Friday, Florida Today reported.

Burgman was driving along Interstate 95 when a piece of plywood flew off a pickup truck and sliced through the center of her windshield, narrowly missing her.

Brevard County Fire Rescue shared photos of the crash on Facebook, calling Burgman "one lucky motorist."

The driver of the pickup truck was identified as 51-year-old Jaime Riveira. He was ticketed for faulty equipment in failing to secure his load.
