RIDEWAY, Pa. (Meredith) — A 26-year-old man is facing more than 1,000 counts of sexual assault charges after a 10-year-old girl told police the man raped her for four years.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by WJAC, the girl told police Michael Chittester raped her "almost every night" during a nine-month period.
Police were alerted to the incidents by the girl's mother. Authorities said a doctor examined the girl and found evidence of sexual abuse.
Chittester was arrested the following day.
The 10-year-old girl told police that Chittester had been raping her for the past four years, according to WJAC. The criminal complaint states the latest assault happened Oct. 6 when the girl's mother went to a job interview and left the girl with Chittester.
In Sept. 2017, the girl's mother began working five nights a week and Chittester allegedly assaulted the child nearly every night while the mother was at work.
Court documents show Chittester is charged with 200 counts of rape, 400 counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, 200 counts of aggravated indecent assault, 200 counts of indecent exposure and one count of corruption of minors.
