Police: Women stole 75-year-old woman's wallet and spent $5,000 in store

Police said these two suspects stole a wallet from a 75-year-old woman, then used her credit cards to purchase $5,000 in electronics and gift cards.

(Meredith) - Two Florida women were caught smiling on camera after they stole credit cards from a 75-year-old woman and spent $5,000 in a store, police said.

The suspects lifted the woman's wallet at a grocery store on Nov. 15, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department

About 30 minutes later, they used her credit cards to purchase $5,000 in electronics and gift cards at a different store, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

When the suspects attempted to make another purchase, the victim's cards were declined.

Police were still searching for the women as of Monday. The St. Petersburg Police Department also tweeted photos of the pair leaving a Target store, hoping someone would recognize them.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to call the department at 727-893-7780.

Karma is a sweet thing. You get what you deserve. Hopefully karma gives you a taste of what you did to the victim someday. That will wipe the thieving smile off your face.
