Portland wine makers and chefs team up for charity

Local wine makers and top chefs are teaming up to make you a special meal tonight! They’re hosting a series of dinners across the city to fundraise for children and families in need.

It’s all a part of the Classic Wines Auction’s November Dinner Series. The non-profit hosts numerous events year-round for charities. Around 20 restaurants throughout the city are offering unique gourmet dinners.

“It’s ultimately about people and people that are challenged who are put into circumstances that they can’t get out of without assistance. It really moves all of us to help as much as we can so people can lead healthy productive lives,” said Classic Wines Auction Executive Director Heather Martin.

Chefs and wine makers collaborate on unique menus from November 15-17. Dinner range from $100-$150.

“We have so many great chefs and wineries in town and also it just gives people so many options,” Martin said.

Since 1982 Classic Wines Auction has raised more than $40 million dollars for local charities.

Restaurants including Irving Street Kitchen, Paley’s Place and The Country Cat are involved. For a full list of participating restaurants visit: WineMakerDinnerspdx.com.
