FOX 12 Oregon Weather Forecast
Wednesday, January 27th, 3:00 A.M.Â
Good morning!
Light to moderate showers are falling across portions of northwest Oregon and southwest Washington. Our freezing level jumped to about 1,000-1,500 feet overnight. Traveling will only be difficult near and above that elevation range, as snow is still falling in the higher elevations. Most of the metro area is just dealing with wet roads, and that will be the case later today with intermittent showers around. Expect the freezing level to gradually climb to about 2,000 feet with high temperatures maxing out in the mid 40s at sea level. Shower chances will dwindle overnight, although an isolated shower or two can’t be ruled out Thursday.
Our next round of rainfall will occur late Friday into Saturday. The threat for low elevation snow will have diminished by that point, with overnight lows in the upper 30s, and highs climbing into the mid 40s Saturday. We’re heading into another wet weather pattern will multiple rounds of rain and mountain snow to wrap up January and kick off February.
At this point, there is no threat for low elevation snow in the near future. Significant wind events don’t seem likely either.
Have a great Wednesday!
