Woman shot while on phone with officers, Portland police say

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A woman was shot in northeast Portland on Sunday night, Portland police said.

Shortly before 9 p.m., North Precinct officers got a call reporting a threat with a weapon.

Dispatchers were on the phone with a woman who said a person she knew had arrived at her home and threatened to shoot her.

Officers were on the phone with the woman while driving and heard gunfire. When they arrived, they found the woman with injuries. She was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Officers secured the area but were unable to find the suspect. No arrests have been made.
