WARM SPRINGS Ore. (KPTV) - A 34-year-old Warm Springs man has been charged with sexually abusing two young children, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Oregon, on Friday.

According to court documents, on Oct. 16, officers with the Warm Springs Police Department were sent to a home on the Warm Springs Reservation after receiving a report that a man had been found in a bedroom with two young children.

The man, identified as Jesse James Hicks, was allegedly found by a family member interacting with a child in a way that “raised immediate concern,” the U.S. Attorney said.

Investigators say Hicks initially denied doing anything wrong, but then allegedly “admitted to unlawful conduct involving one of the children.”

Hicks faces charges of aggravated sexual abuse involving young children.
