Arrest made after man dies from fight at Gresham video lottery spot
GRESHAM, Ore. (KPTV) - A man was arrested in connection with a deadly fight that happened at a video lottery spot earlier this month, according to the Gresham Police Department.
On Nov. 6, officers responded to a fight at the Platinum Pub, near Southeast 182nd Avenue and Southeast Powell Boulevard. Officers arrived to the scene and found 35-year-old David Lomas unconscious in the parking lot.
Lomas was taken to an area hospital where he later died. The medical examiner determined Lomas died of blunt force trauma.
During the investigation, police say detectives learned Lomas had been involved in a fight with 35-year-old Richard Henderson moments before he collapsed.
On Thursday morning, detectives served a warrant at Henderson’s home in the 200 block of Southeast Vista Avenue and arrested him.
Henderson was booked into the Multnomah County jail for second-degree manslaughter.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Detective Martin Daly at Martin.Daly@GreshamOregon.gov or Detective Lindsay Friderich at Lindsay.Friderich@GreshamOregon.gov .
