Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Owin Hays has been fishing the local rivers with his father and grandfather since he was old enough to hold a rod. Tactics that he and his buddies developed, tested, and perfected are now common- place among anglers up and down the Columbia and its tributaries.
Besides fishing, Owin is also a fanatical duck hunter who takes full advantage of the longest waterfowl season in the country here in Oregon. He is a masterful caller who has spent decades in the blind learning how to draw ducks in with the perfect tone and cadence.
He is also a budding big game hunter, who is bound and determined to get his first elk with stick and string but has taken many black tail and mule deer. His biggest hurdle to overcome is that big game hunting takes time away from the duck blind!
