Miles Staten

Miles Staten joined WALB News in July of 2026 as a multimedia journalist. He was born and raised in St. Louis, Mo. and came to southwest Georgia after graduating with his bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Missouri Columbia in May of 2026.

While at Mizzou, he worked for the university's NBC-affiliate, KOMU 8, as a reporter and anchor, covering a variety of stories. Miles is also apart of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).

When he's not in the newsroom, he loves playing the piano and alto saxophone, trying new foods, and being active with his church community. Miles loves meeting and talking with people, so don't be afraid to say hi if you see him!
